  Very Basic pub food at a high price. Atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. Ordered the garlic bread with pie of the day with chips and salad.

  We ate at the bar and the food was delicious and plentiful for pub food. But the service was fantastic. Cassie was so pleasant and couldn't do enough to help.

  The garlic bread was the supermarket variety. The pie was more of a chunky soup with a frozen pastry top. The salad was drenched with dressing and the chips were heavily coated with salt.

  After a busy day and being quite hungry this wouldn't be such a problem, but with an added drink this should not of cost $45. Maybe $25 at best.

  Oysters were really tasty. Seafood fettuccine was delicious while the Jamican jungle curry with chicken was anyth9ng but jungle. So mild it was a bug disappointment. Service was good. Get there by 6.45pm otherwise the people.from the show come in and it becomes very crowded.

  Some of the best steaks we've ever had. This was was so good we probably ate here three times during our stay in Strahan. Loved the steak with mushroom sauce, but the butter sauce also wonderful. Excellent salmon, too. Affogatos also excellent. If this is what some people consider "basic pub fare," we'd love to follow you around and eat at the pubs you go to.

  Possibly the worst food in Tasmania. 45 minute wait for two soups and 2 entrees. The soup was flavorless and the sour dough bread was just a plain white roll. The bruschetta was just a single slice of burned bread and the goats cheese on it was hard to see let alone taste. The other entree was a sweet potato and goats cheese fritter. Once again the goats cheese was barely there and the flavors lacking. $55 with the wait was insulting. Don’t bother with this one.

  Seeing how they seem to be the only place open I guess standards don't matter too much. Best avoided unless very hungry.
